Well, I thought I’d put up a blog for a while to post some random ramblings. The cats are all lying on the computer, it’s a lazy Sunday morning. I finally ordered the last of the Trigun DVDs. It’s a fun anime series, but it swings into comedy more than I like. My absolute favorite anime series of all time is Cowboy Bebop. Everything just works in that show. It’s well-animated, great writing, fantastic music, and even the American dub sounds wondeful, which is a rarity. I’m usually a subtitle snob when it comes to foreign DVD’s, but Bebop had such a great American dub that I listened to that instead.
I’m going to catch Gosford Park this afternoon. I’ve never been a big fan of Robert Altman, he’s just a little to unfocused for my taste, but I’ve heard good things about this one. I’m really excited for March though, with at least 3 films I want to see: The Time Machine, Blade 2 and Panic Room.
And as an added bonus, here’s a rare family picture of the whole Simpson clan! I’m the last one on the right. From left to right it’s my dad Dave Simpson, my older sister Sue, my younger brother Dan, my mom Sherrie, my younger sister Corinne and me. This was taken this past Christmas when I flew home to Salt Lake City to visit.
