Indiana Jones: Behind the Indiana Jones Thrill Rides

There’s a great article at IndianaJones.com called Indiana Jones: Behind the Indiana Jones Thrill Rides. It goes over the different Indy rides, especially my favorite, the Disneyland ride.

7th Avenue Street Fair pictures
Yesterday was the 7th Avenue street fair. They shut down the street for about 20 blocks, then people setup tents with food, jewelry and other goodies for sale. You see all kinds of crazy people too, including some guy walking his pet snake!
I took a few pictures, so check out the 7th Avenue Brooklyn Street Fair pictures.
No commentsSurgery report
I had some surgery done at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital last night. Because of my earlier sleep study, my doctor wanted to remove my tonsils and burn back some of my soft palate with a laser.
I got home from my surgery this morning. Everything went well, but they wanted to keep me overnight for observation. Apparently “same day” surgery is the same as “overnight surgery”. They removed a lot of my soft palate, modified my uvula and removed my tonsils. I was setup on a morphine drip, as they said the pain would be intense the first day, but I didn’t feel anything and stopped the morphine at 10 pm last night.
Other than a weird feeling in the back of my throat from the scar tissue and my modified uvula, I’m feeling fine and not on any of my pain killers at the moment. I am however on a liquid only diet for the next week, possibly two. First clear liquids (broths, water, applesauce) later soft foods (ice cream, cream soups, pudding).
So, surgery went well, no pain so far, and I finally get a nice 2 week liquid diet.

No commentsCanon Digital Rebel hacked firmware

Check out Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel Tips and Tricks for a link to the Russian-modified Canon Digital Rebel 300D firmware. With this firmware you can unlock a lot of features on the camera.
Originally the Digital Rebel began as the 10D, with a similar body and electronics, so a lot of the hardware features of the 10D are present on the Rebel, but not enabled in firmware. This lets you enable them. You’ll get mirror locking, an ISO 3200 mode, adjustable flash exposure and more. Spiffy!
