Christmas preparations
I’ve posted a few pictures of our Christmas preparations. Yes, that is an 8′ tall Homer Simpson in front of our house!

Ever go to the game and can’t sneak in your favorite beverage? Me either. Oh, wait, now you can! Enter the Beer Belly, a padded belly with an empty chamber and a long straw. You can fill your belly with beer, then fill your real belly with beer. Just watch out that security doesn’t wonder why you have a large pouch filled with liquid under your shirt at a mass sporting event.

These days podcasting is all the rage. If you have an iPod, and the latest iTunes, you have all the software you need for downloading and playing a podcast. What is a podcast? Check the definition here. Basically it’s a downloadable audio program that you can subscribe to.
There’s some interesting stuff too. I like This Week in Tech, a technology show by the old cast of The Screensavers. Leo Laporte also has some great podcasts here. I recommend the KFI Tech Guy podcast, there’s a lot of good information there.
You can listen to entire novels online such as Earthcore and Ancestor. I just finished listening to Earthcore, it was a lot of fun. You can find more podcast noves at Podiobooks.com. Don’t let their front page fool you, they have dozens of novels you can listen to for free.
Podcasts are great to listen to during your commute, or just to have on in the background while working.
